Sony Digital Cameras

  • A camera that takes photographs and videos by recording images digitally via an electronic image sensor is called a digital camera. Film cameras cannot do what digital cameras can: deleting images to free storage space, recording video with sound, on a single small memory device it stores thousands of images. The light is focused onto an image pickup device by using a lens with a variable diaphragm. The correct amount of light to the image is admitted by the combination of shutter mechanism and diaphragm. Here are several types of digital cameras: integration, line-scan camera systems, digital rangefinders, electronic viewfinder, digital single lens reflex cameras, bridge cameras and compact digital cameras.
  • The camera sensor influences the resolution of a digital camera, a CMOS sensor or CCD. Light is turned by a discrete signals. The photons are made of millions of, buckets’’. The larger the value that is ready for that pixel, the brighter the image at a given point on the sensor. The pixels count is determined by the number of resulting pixels. For example, 307.200 pixels would have a 640x480 image, 10.036,224 pixels would have a 3872x2592 image. The other factors that have an impact on the resolution are: the organization of the pixels, lens quality and sensor size.
