Sony Cybershot DSC-W30 Digital Camera

  • Sony's new digital camera, the Sony Cybershot DSC-W30, is a compact 6-megapixel camera supporting 3x optical zoom and an eye-level viewfinder. This model is significantly more compact than previous avataars of the W-series models.
  • Consumers can start taking pictures from the Sony Cybershot SC-W30 out of the box thanks to the included 32MB of memory. The camera features a 2.0" LCD for previewing your images. It presents a unique help system that is especially helpful to amateurs, where it gives a text explanation of each mode being used to take pictures (of course, this feature can be turned off as it can be quite irritating to pros).
  • Fitted with a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar you get 3x optical zoom. Apart from this, the camera features a Smart Zoom function, where you can achieve up to 13x optical zoom for VGA resolution images. The Sony Cybershot DSC-W30 takes in Memory Stick Duo cards.
  • The camera is available in a silver finish that looks - well, to say the least - boring. What we really need is more colors in the world of digital cameras.
