- Eastman Kodak Company have announced the KODAK EASYSHARE P712 digital camera that unleashes photographers potential with precision controls and stunning image quality. The Kodak P712 has a blazing fast auto-focus system with best-in-class click-to-capture rate - literally faster than the blink of an eye, at less than 1/10th of a second (0.07 seconds).
- The Kodak P712 features a 2.5-inch color TFT display, 12X (36 – 432 mm equiv.), image-stabilized, f2.8 – f/3.7, SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH VARIOGON lens that delivers exquisite detail and sharpness. Its 7.1 mega-pixel sensor is paired with legendary KODAK Color Science image processing for spectacular, highly accurate color with supported image resolutions up to 3074 x 2304. The movie clips resolutions will be 640 x 480 @ 30fps and file formats would be in JPEG, RAW and TIFF. Optical image stabilization provides a two-stop advantage over non-image stabilized systems for better capturing subjects in low light for both stills and video.
- Additional features include ISO sensitivity up to 800, shuttle speed from 16 - 1/1000 sec in 1/3 step increments, 18 scene modes and internal storage of 32MB with SD/MCC card slot for extra storage. The camera weighs 403 grams with the size of 108 x 84.2 x 72mm. The Kodak P712 camera will be available worldwide beginning in July 2006, with a suggested retail price of USD499.
